My Story

Richmond Woodworks llc., Home of "The Wood Doctor" is a Veteran-owned, licensed and insured small business that operates out of Moseley, VA. Not only do we offer on-site woodwork repairs to the VA, MD, DC, and NC regions, but now have a new full woodworking shop and drop off located off Hull street.

It was founded by and is owned and operated by Rob Shumaker, who as a master craftsman has over 25+ years of experience in woodworking, including manufacturing cabinets, furniture, and architectural millwork.

Equipped with the full line of Mohawk Finishing and M.L. Campbell Finish and Repair Products, the “Wood Doctor” makes the final project flawless by fully restoring breaks, seams, scuffs, nicks, chips, cracks, splits, dents, scratches, and all other defects, whether they are from the wear and tear of construction or years of use.
